#parkhopping - Day 4 / by Mark

Reporting from an AirBnB
LAT 28.1, LON 81.3 degrees

After another soak in the hot tub, we headed over to Disney Springs, which is a large shopping and dining area just outside the parks.  It’s basically a mall, except you go thru a metal detector to get in.  Unlike the parks, it's free. We hit a few stores--I bought a hat.

They have what must be the largest group of “Amphiicars" in one place--you can take a ride on one around the lagoon.

We used Disney Springs as a jumping off point to visit some of the resorts (there's a ton of them), which meant trips via boat, bus--and monorail!

Well sir, there's nothing else like a genuine bonafide electricified six-car Monorail...

And here are the three resorts we visited: Port Orleans, Coronado, and Polynesian.

This meant more food, in the form of beignets, nachos, and Dole Whip.

While most of the transportation was easy, the final leg back to Disney Springs was quite the disaster.  Our group got separated, and the bus was standing room only.  Somehow, the latter group left a half hour later, but arrived like 2 minutes after we did.

More shots of Disney Springs at night.  It started raining just as we left the mall.  We will return to the parks soon.
