Reporting from Wisconsin Dells, WI
We packed up, had breakfast at the hotel (a better one than in MN) and headed toward our first stop--Crystal Cave in Spring Valley. We always stop for a cave tour when we can. Lasted about an hour, with our excellent guide Ann. There was the usual stuff--Stalactite v. Stalagmite, a demonstration of total darkness, ducking your head a lot (more for me than the sisters).
By the time we returned to the surface, it was raining. Off to Eau Claire for three attractions-- Paul Bunyan (with Babe the Blue Ox), a bear that gives high fives, and a viking long boat. This was followed by lunch at an excellent Mexican restaurant which seem to be almost impossible to get to due to construction. (We were too hungry to take pics).
We moved on to a series of giant things. The first was at Black River Falls, where they apparently got a bulk deal on them.

Then a cowboy mouse in Oakdale, in a gas station parking lot.
A Kwik Trip in Mauston decided to impale a full 18-wheeler on a pole and make it a sign.
Our destination for the day was the Wisconsin Dells--kind of like Orlando if Disney suddenly disappeared. Lots of water parks with various themes, and a plethora of tourist traps. Here’s another Paul Bunyan and Babe, part of a restaurant/stunt show.
Then it's a collection of Big Boys, in front of the eponymous restaurant.

We checked in for the night, watched some Taskmaster, and went to bed. Tomorrow, the last push to Kathy’s home, and another statehouse.
