After a Rummikub session and hotel breakfast (including a rare bowl of Lucky Charms), we were off on a soggy day.
A citizen of Nautica, MI decided to build a copy of Stonehenge in his front yard. I guess he then got sick of people stopping by his house, so he allowed trees and brush to basically make it invisible.
WZZM (Grand Rapid’s News Leader) has a “weather ball” that alerts locals to current conditions.
“13 Weatherball red, warmer ahead. 13 Weatherball blue, cooler in view. 13 Weatherball green, no change foreseen. Colors blinking bright, rain or snow in sight.”
We decided to divert to the Railtown Brewing Company, which sounded interesting online. We had pizza rangoon, Texas fried rice, loaded fries, and salad for nutrition. We were stuffed!
Off to the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum. Gerry’s career isn't stellar, so they spread it out to fill the place. Still, it was interesting. Just makes you wonder what Cheetolini's museum is going to look like (spolier--lots of gold paint).
We then headed toward Lansing, finding a tiny President Ford…
More like an action figure than a statue.
…a giant coffee cup…
…and scientifically processed potato chips.
That's plenty for one day. Tomorrow, a statehouse, museums, and more.
